Where I Am From

I Am From I’m from the land of sun kissed skies,
Where the Mountains rise so high,
The whispers of ancient winds  speak,
Of stories old and futures unique.

I’m from the Sahara’s endless desert,
A desert vast, a timeless land,
Where the dunes stretch out, golden and wide,
And the stars above in silence collide.

I’m from Algiers, a city of grace,
Where history and modern life embrace,
The Mediterranean kisses the shore,
And the streets echo with life, forevermore.

Dear Future,

In 10 years from now, I hope you have become
what you are working hard for right now,
And achieved all the things you dreamed of.
Keep working hard even at your lowest

I hope, dear Future, you’ll look back on today,
And see, we worked to clear the clouds, come what may.
Did we find the answers or ask the right questions,
Or simply learn from our humble confessions?
I wonder if we’re still chasing the sun,
Or if we’ve learned that the journey’s already begun.
In 10 years, will we finally know,
Is the future we seek the one we saw?
