My well being
By Pascal | School : South Broward High SchoolUsually, I don’t have much to say about how I feel because I prefer to keep my emotions to myself. I know I can handle things on my own and get over bad or disappointing moments by myself. But since this is my story to tell, I will share how my mental health experiences complications and challenges on a daily basis.
Not every day is a good day, and everyone knows that. Even so, I don’t let it bring my whole mood down. I like to focus on the bright things, and when you practice that mindset often, you can shift your ups and downs into a more positive thought process that can’t easily be ruined. Although it’s okay to feel sad or down sometimes, I tend to see it as a weakness. When you’re sad, you often can’t do much—sometimes it makes it hard to focus or perform well on tasks that require your full attention. So, I tell myself to keep my head high and not let my self-esteem drop.
In a similar way, your physical health also reflects who you truly are. I consider this to be really important because if I don’t work out or eat well to keep my body healthy, I don’t feel great. While I don’t let it ruin me, I remind myself to pick up the pace and get back on track because it plays an important role in who I am today.
I’m happy.
