My Move to America

By Anonymous  |   From : Ukraine  |   School : Coral Glades High School

Everything started when the war began. My life changed completely, and I had to leave my home. At first, I went to Spain, where I lived for six months. It was a new and interesting experience, but I knew it was not my final destination. After that, I moved to Canada, and I absolutely loved it there. The people were friendly, the country was beautiful, and I felt comfortable. However, for certain reasons, I had to move again—this time to the United States.

Arriving in America was difficult for me. I didn’t know the language, and I had no friends. It felt overwhelming and lonely. I struggled with communication and often felt isolated. My mental state was not the best, and I missed the places I had lived before. Everything seemed foreign and unfamiliar, making it hard to adjust.

But over time, things started to get better. I slowly learned English and began to understand the people around me. Eventually, I made friends, which made a huge difference in my life. Now, I feel much more comfortable here. I am still learning and improving, but I no longer feel lost. My journey has been full of challenges, but in the end, it has made me stronger.
