We immigrated away from the wars in my country. We immigrated to find a better life and better education – I am looking forward to finishing school here because in my country, school is not good.

I came with my dad and my mom and my sisters and my grandma and my aunt.

Here I learned how to adapt to a new life and to work hard.

In my first week of school, it was difficult. Everything was slow in English because I didn’t know the language. The answer to understanding is to ask questions. By asking questions, both teachers and students will get to know each other, the new cultures and new ways. Try and ask as much questions. Be patient.
