Sorry

My biggest fear was doing bad in school

It was a sunny day when my mother told me that we were coming to the US. I was happy but I was sad at the same time. I ran to my room and I started to cry.  The last person I saw was my aunt. She took us to the airport and she kissed me. We hugged so hard and I say “Te amoa Tia!” then she said goodbye.

What I was looking forward when I came here was a better life… With a better life I mean: job and a house.

My biggest fear was doing bad in school because of my English -When I went to my school for the first time, I was upset, quiet and I didn’t work because I was scared that people laugh at me. Teachers should learn from the students. Teachers can be patient with new students. Let them express themselves. They can learn how to be patients.  In school, there should be more understanding with people like me  – People who don’t speak the English.
