The confused teenage traveller.
By Sarah | From : Marseilles, France | School : Lycée St CharlesTop o’ the morning to you human beings,
My name is Sarah and I am a 15-year-old student in Marseilles, France. I am obsessed with bands, music and the internet. I would describe myself as a quite awkward, introverted basic teenager.
I have spent most of my childhood in France. Why “most”, you ask? Well, it’s because I was born in Ireland, which makes me part Irish (my father’s side) and part French (my mother’s side). At the time, my mother studied in Ireland and was transferred to Marseilles, so my father decided to go with her. I was two when I first put my feet on the French territory. Unfortunately, my parents decided to separate a few months later, which made me very sad. But without this happening, I wouldn’t have met my amazing step-parents and step-sisters.
I don’t remember much of my childhood, but I know that I have been travelling since I was a foetus.
I often visit my family in Dublin; Ireland is my second home. I have always loved travelling and have had the chance to visit other countries such as Turkey, England, Tunisia and America.
I feel some sort of freedom, when I travel. And as many travellers would say, I love discovering new cultures and meeting new people.
I also like change. I plan on living in Dublin and going to a university over there, hopefully in two years.
I guess that’s the story so far, but I know I have much more things to live. We create ourselves and our stories as we grow up, and I feel like mine will start when things will change.
Then again, I am just a confused teenage girl, but I hope you still enjoyed my story.
So long,
Sarah.
