I Learn America is a participatory education project with a mission to use the power of storytelling to foster empathy, urgency, and action around issues affecting migrant youth, as they forge their own path in a new land.
Centering youth agency, social emotional learning and youth artistic advancement; the I Learn America guides youth to explore, write, artistically produce, share and activate the stories of their lives from their own perspectives on their own terms, while giving adults from receiving communities the opportunity to listen, learn, and embrace them for who they are.
