Sorry

Soy de Venezuela, y mi vida no era muy divertida; solo entrenaba y estudiaba, pero lo poco que hacía era suficiente para estar feliz. Uno de los recuerdos que tengo fue cuando tuve que despedirme de mis amigos de la forma más insípida, porque ellos pensaban que me iban a ver el próximo año, pero no fue así. Ese día lo pasamos muy bien, entre risas y bromas; definitivamente, fue el mejor día de mi vida.

La razón por la que me tuve que ir fue para tener mejores estudios y una mejor oportunidad de vida, también para tener mejores instalaciones de entrenamiento en gimnasia artística. Sin embargo, no sabíamos que el precio sería alto, por lo que hasta el momento no practico ningún deporte. Una de las razones por las que vine a los Estados Unidos fue que quería estar en un ambiente diferente. En Venezuela había muchos problemas y ya no me sentía bien. Definitivamente necesitaba irme de Venezuela, quería un nuevo inicio, una nueva vida, y fue la mejor decisión que tomé.

Mi viaje a los Estados Unidos estuvo lleno de emociones. Me despedí de las personas que más amaba, una de ellas era mi perrita. Vine en avión e hice escala en República Dominicana. Fue una experiencia difícil porque no nos querían dejar pasar solo por ser venezolanos y nos detuvieron en República Dominicana hasta que nos dejaron pasar, ya que íbamos a perder el vuelo y no podíamos estar ilegalmente en República Dominicana y tener problemas legales solo porque no nos dejaban pasar. Al final, nos dejaron pasar y pudimos llegar al Aeropuerto Internacional de Miami.

INSIPID FAREWELL (ENGLISH VERSION)

I am from Venezuela, and my life was not very fun. I only trained and studied, but the little I did was enough for me to be happy. One of the many memories I have was when I had to say goodbye to my friends in the most insipid way, because they thought they were going to see me next year, but that was not the case. That last day in Venezuela, my friends and I had a great time with laughs and jokes. It was definitely the best day of my life.

The reason I had to leave Venezuela was to have better studies and a better opportunity in life, as well as better training facilities for artistic gymnastics. However, we did not know that it was going to be so expensive here, so in the meantime, I am not practicing any sport. One of the reasons my family and I left was because I wanted a new environment in my life. There were many problems, and I did not feel well. I definitely needed to leave Venezuela. I wanted a new beginning and a new life, and it was one of the best decisions I have made.

My trip to the United States was a roller coaster of emotions. I said goodbye to my loved ones, one of them being my precious dog. I flew and had a stopover in the Dominican Republic, where they did not want to let us pass just because we were Venezuelans. They held us in the Dominican Republic until they allowed us to pass, as we were going to miss our flight, and we couldn’t stay illegally in the Dominican Republic. In the end, they let us pass, and we were able to reach Miami International Airport.
