Sorry

My name is Carline Meme. I was born on May 23, 2000.  I was born in a house in a big city.  I’m from Haiti. My family was there and my aunty called the doctor.  I got my name from my dad.  I like to sing and dance. Haiti looks like beauty, it smells so great, and it feels so warm. In my home you can see pictures of my family. Each year my family does different things like cooking; we have fun trying different things. When I was 6 years old my dad died.  When my grandma would see me, she would always cry, because I look just like him. My mom does everything for me, so we came to the United States. I told my grandma I was leaving.  She was so happy for me but sad too.  She wanted me to stay in Haiti but a lot of people die there. When I first came to the United States I was so happy, because my sister was already in the United States and couldn’t wait to see me.  God didn’t leave me alone! Without Him I can do nothing. Some people in Haiti believe different things, but some people do believe in God. Though I’m in the United States, my favorite foods are still fruit and griot, and all my family like those. My  mom told me some stuff about me when I was little kid.  I liked to sing in church.
