My name is Laura Quintero, I was born in Miami Beach, Florida on August 2nd, 2002 and I am 14 years old. I am a daughter of immigrants, my mom was born in Miami, Florida and my dad was born in Bogotá, Colombia. My mom was born here but moved back to Colombia when she was one year old, she was basically raised there. Now, I am going to tell you a story on how I came to be who I am. My parents decided to come back to the United States after my mom got married to my dad. Since my mom is a U.S citizen, both of them wanted to come for a better life, the American dream. They came in the year of 2000, they started off by working very hard. As time went by they made enough money and bought a house and a car. They later had me in 2002 and my brother in 2006. Now life was easier than before, we are living the American dream!
