Hi my name is Kelly. I am a 17-year-old high school student. About 6 years ago my father was deported to Guatemala. This was a surprise to all my family . Because what was supposed to be an appointment was immigration waiting for my father. This happened out of nowhere we didn’t know it was going to be our last time seeing my dad none of us knew . How could we know? We were waiting for my dad outside but hours passed and we didn’t know anything about him . Then we received a call telling us that my father was going to get deported. In that same exact moment, I felt my heart shaking .
