Sorry

Hi my name is Brenda. I’m 16 years old. I was born in Guatemala. And I’m going to tell you something about my story.

When I was living in Guatemala with all my family, we were living so happy because we were all together.

When my dad came here, we were crying so much because we did not want him to come here in the United States, but he got here, he came with my grandfather and my uncles.

Time passed and my dad no longer called my mom, and he did not send us money for expenses. He left us forgotten and my mom started to work and she kept us and one day my mom went to work, because my mom’s job was far away and she was late from work. When my mom came home from work, men with masks on their faces wanted to abuse her.

But thanks to God a young man was going down where they were and the young man  helped my mother.  He was the only one and they were three, when my mother arrived at the house where we lived, I arrived crying and asked her what happened and she did not want to tell us because she did not want to worry us.

Then my grandparents they decided to come here in the United States and then we are here and here we are all, and thank God we arrived in a country full of opportunities. Thanks to this school for helping us too, the teachers thank you for helping me that thanks to them I can fulfill my goals here in this country.
