Life is the most precious thing in the world and I think we have to enjoy every hour, every minute, every second of the human life that we have.
By Arrown | From : Saint-Denis France | School : Suger High SchoolHello My name is Arrown. i’m Haitian by blood, but i was born in France and my parents are also French but they were born in Haiti.
It has been 20 years since my mom arrived in this country. She was 26 years old. Before her immigration she studied at school and learned the French language. When she finally arrived she was considered like an illegal alien because she had no ID. She made several jobs to earn her living and get through the difficulties of being a refugee. A few years later when she was 30 years old she met my father and fell in love with him. That was when I was born. However my dad left her just after my birth because he didn’t want children, so she was alone.
Years passed and when I was growing up my mom met another man and became friend with him. This man who was very gentle with me gave me my name and his surname. Thanks to this man, my mother got her ID and the French citizenship. Unfortunately, he died a few moments later because he was very old.
As I was becoming older, I often tried to get in touch with my dad but he never wanted to meet me. I started to hate him more and more, until I considered that he wasn’t my dad anymore. Unfortunately in 2010 there was a seism in Haiti and I learned my dad who was over there died in this tragedy. When i learned about it I was so sad, but i didn’t cry. I hated him, but i was sorrowful for him, because even though he abandoned me and my mother he wouldn’t deserve this fate.
From this day on I decided to live my life bravely with myself and my family, because life is the most precious thing in the world and I think we have to enjoy every hour, every minute, every second of the human life that we have.
