My Journey to America
By Ola Almashhadoni | From : Kansas City, MO, USA | School : East High SchoolComing to America was good for me. Before l came to America, l had many expectations.
First, I thought that everything would be perfect, but I was wrong.
Second, I thought that to have new friends would be easy, but it is very different.
Third, I thought that life without the rest of my family would be okay. It is not good at all.
I go to East high school. My school in Kansas City is different than my school in my country.
First, at my old school, all the students had school uniforms. Second, students were very polite. Third, we spoke the same language.
However, my school here is also similar to school in my country. First, we are taught the same materials. Second, there is no distinction between students.
Today, my life is simple . First, I regularly attend school. Second, I have made new friends.
Today, I feel comfortable about moving to America. I feel good because I have a new life.
I also feel anxious because I do not know what my future is going to be like.
I like East high school, my new school. It is very special to me.
I am happy I moved to America.
