My Life Poem
By Sumaia Juma | From : Kansas City, MO | School : East High SchoolMy life poem
I’m from the states where the sand is everywhere
I’m from the yellow lights on the street
from late night walk to clear my mind
it won’t talk until tonight
I am from never knowing enough
but sometimes you too much
from nobody understanding why
why I can’t think of time I’m from the noise of luck
my thoughts on the constant buzz of my house
I am from being different but just wanted to be the same
cause so much stress…
all the music that is my life
I am from loving too easily from relationships I just don’t feel right
they’re the ones that are like a knife
I am from holding back in the motions I just can’t show
I’m from a small town in Khartoum it’s in Sudan
I’m from the two-story house and
in the homemade food in the pot
and the house but not my thoughts
I am from the shining that always cause a rough start
and the longing to touch others hearts
I am from blocking things out all the bad things
I am from good morning and goodnight furnitures to lowes
I’m the girl that will make her life better in one day
