My name is Islem.

I was born in Algeria at Khenchla, a small village in the southern valleys of the country.
In winter it is freezing cold. I grew up in a poor family. I lived in Algeria until I was 8 years old, then my mother asked for visa in France because we were in difficulty.

When I came back from school I got to know that I will leave Algeria and go to France. I arrived in Marseille with my mother. She spent one month with me and then she went back to Algeria because there were my father, sister and brother.

I lived at my aunt’s house and went to school until my parents came to join me in 2013.

Now I live together with my family.
