Overcoming

I was in my late years of elementary grade and one unfateful day this bully who would constantly harass me pointed out to me that I resembled a dirty pig filled with mud because I have a brown skin color, we were in class and nobody really gave a damn about what just happened to me. I was mad at this bully whose name was Alex, but I was also sad and felt horrible about myself. I went home that day crying to my parents on how I didn’t want to go back to school. My loving mother went to the principle the next day and got me help since they took me out of class to get my statement. After a day or so he got suspended for a week and they asked me whether I wanted to switch classes or not and I said yes. After this whole ordeal, I was got self-conscious of my skin color. I was glad to be out of contact with him. My older siblings later in life talked to me and made me prideful of who I am.
