The personal yet universal narratives of the students in the film, by promoting connection and understanding, can be powerful levers.

Our goals are to:

• Enable young immigrants to be active and equal participants in school and society.
• Make the issues facing recent immigrant youth important to their new communities.
• Underscore the need for programs to support immigrant children and families.
• Offer a platform for crafting, exploring and implementing solutions.

With our partners, we aim to awaken in students, educators, school communities, community leaders and the public at large a sense of understanding, urgency, and purpose.
