The Country Of Peace and Liberty
By Noor Alothmanalkhaled | From : Syria |Have you ever wondered what’s the greatest country with the greatest people in the world?
Well, I have the answer for you. It’s the United States of America. America was the country that protected me and my family from the harms and most dangers of the civil war in my country Syria. It opened its borders and welcomed us to be part of the people in the United States and to help us to have a shelter over our heads and have a future as bright as the sunshine. America you are the most beautiful and kindest country in the world, you are a country that makes peace between everyone and spreads equality and liberty between others. America, you saved me and my family from the dangerous moments and helped us to stand again and live again without fear. America is the country that opened its doors to many refugees and immigrants and welcomed many people from different nationalities around the world. America, no one will forget your favor and how the American people welcomed us and we became part of them. You are a country that made everyone across the world have opportunities and have their happiness with their families as well as to live peacefully and fulfill their dreams. Today I am writing about you to share my story with everyone around the world and show them that you are the country that gives more than opportunities to whoever comes to the country and show the people that America’s name means a lot to each refugee. I am an immigrant girl, a girl who wishes for nothing, but happiness, peace, accomplishing dreams, having goals for the future, and being in a safe place with her family. Therefore, I am writing this story not just to share my hardships as an immigrant girl, but to also have a huge thanks to the United States of America and its generous and kind people. America no matter what others believe about you or say about you, you are the most beautiful and peaceful country in the whole world, the opportunities that you gave to me as an immigrant girl, I would share these stories with my future friends and tell them how you protected me, educated me, changed me to better, and to make the best decisions by being part of the United States people. I thank god a thousand times that I am in the United States with my family and everyone is safe and happy now. As human beings, I am sure that most of us have hardships and experience other obstacles that stop them from doing things that they would love to accomplish in their life. At this point, my thoughts crossed my mind and made me think about the life that I used to have back in my country Syria. The dangerous civil war that stopped me from studying for 4 and a half years, my whole dreams collapsed, I felt hopeless because this is not what I want, this is not the life that I have been dreaming of when I was a little. The civil war brought darkness into my life and made it very negative and different than what I expected. I was always crying and wishing that one day I could have the freedom to go to school and achieve my goals and dreams because my dreams are so simple. All I want is to be educated and teach myself how to be wise and interact with others from different countries around the world. I am a girl, I have dreams, I have goals, and I have many positive thoughts that I want to share with others in the future. I am a girl who wants to be educated and educate others. I am a girl who wants to have various opportunities to change the world and the people around her, to make everyone feel heard, grow, learn and value education as I do. “Education is the most powerful weapon which you can use to change the world” by Nelson Mandela. Life is fickle sometimes all the sadness and hopeless moments turn to happiness and positive thoughts. A miracle happened and changed my entire life. Sometimes people can’t see or understand what we want or what we have in our hearts, but God does and always is hearing us and seeing what our hearts really wish and want in life. Moving to the United States of America with my family has turned my life into a miracle and a way that made me think that we should never give up and always believe in God because he is always there for us and always chooses the best plans for us. The United States of America was the key the luck and the light of my future. The United States of America made me continue my studies and make my dreams become true because it’s the only country that give me the freedom to have the right to speak and work on myself to improve my education and learn many different language. America changed my life for the better and made me become an educated girl. America you brought happiness to my heart, America you are my country, my source of hopes, joys, wisdom, love, freedom, peace, and the role model of my life. I will always be proud to be part of this generous country and part of these amazing people who made my life and my family feel safe and happy. America today my family and I thank you for your amazing help that you did for us. Your generous help will always stay in our hearts and will share that with my future family and friends to teach them how to take care of the United States of America and always be there for its people the same way they were there for us.
