Where I am from…

I am from a country full of happiness
I am from the fresh smell of the kachupa
from the happy people that are so humble
I am from kids outside playing soccer every day with their shorts and t shirt
I am from feeling like you wanna take a bathtub packed with ice in a frozen sea,
I am from where the beans and the meat mix perfectly for the best taste
I am from staying outside until 10:00pm

I am from having your stuff get stolen at night or people robbing you .
I am from waking up early in the morning
Fromfresh made bread that smell through the street
Like butter melting in the bread just like when people welcome you back
A feeling that melts my heart

Present

Today I am an antisocial person. I barely talk to people, I keep things to myself and try hard everyday. When stuff gets hard, I gotta keep pushing and now I am still trying to get close with God. The reason why I want to get close with God is because he was the one that was there for me when nobody was. He forgave me for my sins and he never judged me for the way I am. Now till this I am trying to work hard for my future and trying not to give up on school because sometimes it gets drained to the point I wanna drop but I am not going to give up.

Dear future Adelia,

I hope this letter finds me well and my life is filled with excitement and new experiences that I gather throughout the years. As I am writing this letter I hope I pursue my dreams with passion and determination. I hope I get to buy my grandmother a big house that she can call her home, feel at peace and protected by god. I also hope that I get my dream job to become a lawyer because I wanna help people to get the immigration paper .
The most important thing for my future is getting close to God because if I Don’t have him none of these things could come true. I wanna bring my mom to the United state so she can pursue her dreams and be happy. I want to have a big happy family and I hope to embrace all the challenges as an opportunity to grow. I want to be surrounded with supportive people and also inspiring people. I want to take time for self care, take time to celebrate my achievements no matter how small it is and also be grateful for the life I have. As I continue my path to my future I make sure I value myself.
