Sorry

Hello, my name is Eduar and I am from Cuba.  In my country I had a complicated life since it is a communist country, which makes life even more difficult. In my opinion, I did not have a very good future there. Military service is mandatory at 18 years old, there are no jobs and life is very hard. So, in 2022, I decided that my mother and I would leave Cuba to have a better life here in the USA.   

We had to live through many difficult moments as a result of the decision to leave. We had to pay a lot of money in Mexico because that’s the only way to cross the border and enter the USA. Thanks to our Father God, everything went well and we managed to reach the USA. I consider it to be a great privilege to come here to this beautiful country. I have dreams for my future which include playing professional baseball and going to college, and being in America would be the way to achieve these dreams. 

However, things weren’t always great here. When I arrived in the United States, I didn’t know the language so I couldn’t communicate my thought and ideas, and I only had a few friends. This frustrated me since I couldn’t talk to anyone in English or make any friends. At times I felt very lonely and sad. 

However, it has not all been negative. One great experience I had when I arrived in the United States was that we went to Universal Orlando for Halloween. It was a lot of fun. We also went to the Harry Potter attraction, and we had a lot of fun.  At Christmas we went to the Navie and snowboarded, which was a great experience. One of the best times I have ever had. We also made snowmen and climbed a mountain in the middle of a snowfall. That was such a beautiful experience!   

After high school, I want to go to college and play baseball. I would like to take a philosophy course and also study more about science. My Plan B is to join the US Army because when you join US Army or Marines CORPS you get a lot of benefits. I also want to make a good business plan and buy a nice house on the beach.
