My name is Wendjy Mervil and I am from Haiti. Haiti is a country that is very bad and has many woes due to an earthquake in 2010. The earthquake killed many people. People were beaten and they struggled to survive. Haiti’s people were unable to send children to school and went days without food. People were unable to feed their kids. Even our pets were without food and were wandering on the streets. Haiti’s people were going through a lot of misery. There were no jobs and no food. Many people moved to Brazil. I moved to the U.S. recently, and now I am learning English to get a better future. I hope that one day everything is well in my country.
